Our company was founded in 2003 by the Bulgarian architect Nadya Stamatova and the American architect Scott Skipworth. It is a holder of a grant of The Japan Foundation for the book Architectural Spies: Japan (2005) and the award of the Union of Architects in Bulgaria at the Architectural Saloon Varna’2006 for the reconstruction of the main hall of the Central Post Office in Varna. The most of its design activities after 2007 were detached in the newly formed architectural studio Architectural Space that gave the opportunity of Architectural Spies to focus its efforts to the scientific field. The company has experience in FP7 and H2020 research and development projects. Also so far it trained students and young architects, engineers, and industrial designers from Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Cyprus on programmes Erasmus /Erasmus+ (2014, 2015, 2016), Cornelius Hertling /Leonardo da Vinci (2012, 2013, 2014) and Students Internships (2013, 2014, 2016, 2017,2018). Competences: architecture; digital modelling; BIM; 2D/3D data acquisition; aerial (drone) photography; ortho-photo; GIS; thermal scanning; IoT; building performance analysis; energy-efficiency projects; digital reconstruction of cultural heritage; virtual museums; AR/VR; serious games.
